Philip J. Balshi: A Collection of Fine Art Prints
Visit the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts between February 27 and July 26 to see a new exhibition, Philip J. Balshi: A Collection of Fine Art Prints.

Bethlehem native Philip J. Balshi developed his photographic eye while studying Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University. After graduating, he spent more than two decades in New York City as a creative director, crafting award-winning advertising campaigns for Fortune 500 companies. Now based in Millbrook, NY, Balshi turns his lens toward the beauty of the countryside that surrounds him.

This exhibition features works from two series, In Field and In Flight and The Color of Koi. The first captures the movement and grace of horses and birds near his Millbrook home. The second explores the vibrant elegance of koi fish inhabiting the ponds of New York Times bestselling author Maxine Paetro.
Balshi’s photographic style is distinctly painterly, evoking the softness and fluidity of watercolor paintings. His images blend light, motion, and color to transform moments of nature into meditations on form and feeling.
