[Burnside] was a great site to tour. We learned many facts about the plantation's buildings, grounds, and the people that lived there. Loretta was able to keep the kids and adults engaged as we toured the grounds and house. I was thrilled that we were able to see and actually power the High-Horse Power Wheel.
Loretta was awesome with her knowledge of the Moravian religion and culture. Even our local folks said they learned things they never knew about the area. John the blacksmith was great also getting us involved in the making of the flame star.
After reading about this exhibit [Dollhouses] in the newspaper, I knew I wanted to view it. My daughter had a great interest in miniatures as a child and I knew she would love seeing it as well. Thank you for featuring this and other exciting exhibits, like the purse collection a few years ago…one of the best ever.
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the region and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. We enjoyed the guide's sense of humor too. Thank you!
This was a great trip. Many in the group said they plan to return to Bethlehem with family or friends on their own. I am looking at bringing more groups to Bethlehem, not only at Christmas time but other times of the year as well. Already have a group booked to come next December (2024).
The tours were very much appreciated & I learned more about the Rau family name and the Moravians then most of my family knew!
The [Old Bethlehem Walking] tour was great. It was wonderful to learn about the history of Bethlehem. We would definitely recommend it!
Thanks to Malissa and the rest of the Historic Bethlehem staff for helping me decide on a tour and also a dinner spot! Everyone had a wonderful time and were thanking me for making it happen and I told them I couldn't have done it without your help. I've mentioned your tours to many others already and plan to book a tour with my family next Thanksgiving/Christmas season.
Our "little town of Bethlehem" was a big hit with our friends from Philadelphia. With assistance from Malissa at the Historic Bethlehem Museum, we enjoyed three different tours, lunch at TAPAS, time for shopping, and ended the spectacular day with dinner at Hotel Bethlehem. Thank you also to all the shop owners and restaurant employees who were welcoming and in the Christmas spirit.
What a great evening in Bethlehem. Our overview of the Moravians was fascinating and we had a special guest speaker on Lafayette. Exploring the town and its history was a major highlight for the whole group. Fantastic experience all around. Brother Ted was an amazing guide…injecting fact with humor in explaining the social history of the area.
We enjoyed the best tour with your exceptional guide Schuyler. My guests and I were all thoroughly pleased with the breadth and depth of Schuyler's shared knowledge about the Rise & Fall of Bethlehem Steel. Many thanks!
